From 9 to 11 September 2010, we will hold our annual National Evangelical Conference in the International Evangelical Church of Rome, in Via Giuseppe Chiovenda. We have had the privilege of organising and hosting this national conference that has represented various ministries and different realities at community level for more than 50 years.
It has been a very important gathering over the years: it has benefitted from a prophetic Word from God to direct and motivate the Church in the Nation! (At least the significant portion that it represents).
This year’s theme is: “Heirs according to the Promise” (Galatians 3:29)
Pastor Silvano, President of the Italian CEIAM* Churches, extended an invitation to those wishing to attend the conference as follows:
“Sometimes we Ministers of the Gospel take pleasure in teaching the Bible’s content in its most intricate details, forgetting or leaving at the margins the heart of the Gospel and its importance and efficacy. When we study the Bible, we discover that what is told there is true but it contains “a Truth” that is called “the Gospel”, the “Good News”, that is the announcement, the “Kerigma” from God to men representing the only Truth, the only source out of which God’s benedictions flow: all other truths are meant to take us there!
Heirs according to the Promise.. is the result of Christ’s work at Calvary! As Ministers of the New Testament we have to find a balance in devoting the right attention and in maintaining the right tension in order not to lose sight of the goal: “..fixing the eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith”!
As an apostle of God in the Nation and as a spiritual father of many ministries, I recognize the necessity, during this conference, to pause and reflect about this marvellous, simple but powerful truth: heirs according to the promise! I hope you will be there as well”.
